Explore buena vista
Downtown Buena Vista is a walkable historic district filled with local restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, art galleries, and small boutiques, all set against a backdrop of mountain views. It’s a great place to wander along Main Street, stroll through the riverfront parks, or grab a coffee before heading out for rafting, hiking, or a scenic drive.
Our favorite food & drink

Eddyline Brewing
Our absolute favorite brewpub with great food and even better beer, just a short walk away from the hotel (less than 5 min walk). There are two locations, make sure to go to the one on South Main. Tyler recommends the Epic Day IPA and Sarah recommends the raspberry wheat ale.
Stop by this cheerful breakfast café to start your day with a coffee on the river in Buena Vista! This coffee shop is less than a 5 min walk from the Surf Hotel.
joyful bakery & cafe

SIMPLE EATERY
The perfect spot for a fresh, feel-good lunch before the festivities. About a 10-minute walk from the Surf Hotel. The bride (a self-proclaimed bread snob) highly recommends any of their sandwiches, soups, or salads.
Casa sanchez
This family-owned local favorite brings huge portions and hearty Mexican food. This is Sarah and Tyler's favorite place to get drunk on giant margaritas and eat tacos after a full day of adventures.

BUENA VISTA ROASTERY
A cozy local café roasting their own beans in-house, Buena Vista Roastery is the perfect stop for a fresh cup and a relaxed morning. They have a beautiful patio right on Main street.
BUENA Viking
Locally owned, Viking-themed burger restaurant on Main Street in downtown Buena Vista. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, including a rooftop patio with mountain views and a lower patio. A great casual option with some impressive burgers! Sarah's favorite is the Powder Day, and Tyler's favorite is the Berserker
