Buena Vista Whitewater Park
Just steps from the hotel, the Arkansas River Walk is a scenic pedestrian path that runs along the river for about 1.5 miles round-trip. It’s an easy, flat stroll perfect for morning coffee walks, sunset views, or stretching your legs between wedding events.
Witness the Surf!
Along the way, you’ll pass the Buena Vista Whitewater Park, where you can watch kayakers and river surfers riding the man-made waves. it’s one of our favorite spots to hang out and cheer people on. You might even see the bride come down in her kayak!
Spot the bride!
Please note: this area is primarily a walking path and viewing spot. Swimming here is at your own risk, and we don’t recommend it. If you’re hoping to swim or float, we suggest heading down to Salida, where there are better access points and calmer areas for getting in the water.
If you're lucky you might even spot the bride finishing up a run. Here's a video of her sending it down this section!
